Did you know Profire hosts an annual fundraiser for the University of Utah’s Burn Center and its Burn Camp Program?

2024 Tournament Results

This year we raised a whopping $50,000! Thanks to your participation, sponsorship, and donations, we will be able to send over 50 deserving survivors to Burn Camp this year. We couldn’t be more grateful for the chance to change lives through our partnership with the University of Utah’s Burn Center. Fundraising for Burn Camp is important because supporting our communities is a core pillar of our business.

Our 2024 golf tournament was a huge success with 104 golfers and 24 corporate sponsors, including six platinum sponsors, who helped make this event possible: GBS Benefits Inc., Sadler Gibb & Associates, Aircom Instrumentation Ltd., Emerson/Asco Valve Inc., Lake Street Capital, and Logican Technologies, Inc.

Profire Supports Burn Camp

At Profire, our commitment to people & community is a core strategic pillar. This pillar’s initiative is greatly supported by our ongoing contributions to the University of Utah Burn Center’s Burn Camp. Since 2016, we have raised over $200,000!

Our support of the University of Utah Burn Center has provided deserving survivors with the opportunity to attend Burn Camp. This effort is a significant piece of our ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) commitments, showcasing our dedication to social and community responsibility. Our annual golf tournament in Utah is our biggest fundraising event for this initiative. In 2023, we raised $45,000, thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, partners, and participants.

The Burn Camp Mission

The University of Utah’s Burn Camp program, established in 1993, aims to support burn survivors facing the challenges of recovering from burn injuries. Through self-esteem building, teamwork, and peer interaction, the camp empowers survivors to thrive in their recovery journey.

In 2024, the cost to send a single burn survivor to Burn Camp ranges from $700 to $1,200. Our goal for this year’s fundraiser is to sponsor a minimum of 45 survivors to attend Burn Camp.

Survivors like Payton, who endured a burn injury at just six years old. His mother supported him through his recovery journey, from the initial wound care to his physical therapy, amidst pain, confusion, and heartbreak. But it was at Burn Camp that Payton discovered he wasn’t alone, enabling his emotional healing. A decade later, he now gives back to the community as a youth counselor at Burn Camp and a volunteer at the Burn Center.
